Tests, sounds, and views
It's been a long week. I've been running a study and and watching people try to use a website and struggle and toil. I'm not surprised about the results, but I'm constantly surprised to see how users will do 30 tasks in a study, have a hard time, not find what they need then at the end state, oh yeah, it was really easy. I just wish they would demand more usable products. It's like watching someone in a bad relationship. "Well, the experience was grueling, it took forever, I couldn't find what I need, but I guess it was easy. I mean at least it's online. I just need to really spend a lot of time to figure it out, it's obviously some lack in me."
Anyway, tonight will be a nice break from all this work and thinking by endulging in the whistler extrodinaire Jolie Holland at the schmancy Triple Door.
And next week is Bob Dylan, woopee. One of my fave new coworkers showed me this cool site. It let's you see what your view will be like from your seat. Here's the one for the Paramount.

That's really cool. I wish the theaters I work in had that capability.

don't feed your dog grapes
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've always heard to not give your dog chocolate or foods with onions, even food with onion seasoning. Today I read one of those Vet columns. A reader wrote in and said that she stupidly left a bowl of grapes in her living room, her dog ate the whole bowl and had to be rushed to the ER. He may have permanent kidney damage from the grapes.
