textbooks are the worst. I paid $150 for one book for my single class this fall. The publishers know they have a monopoly and are taking advantage of it. After all, it's not like I'm looking to read just any book on operations management.
Cheaper books are sometimes available used (with someone else's notes highlighted? no thanks...) or on ebay (sight unseen, international editions, etc). It just makes me nervous.
