Viva Las Vegas
Just when I swore I'd never go back. Our proposal for STC was accepted and this year it's in Vegas. It will be fun to see all those tech writers drunkenly hit the tables, correcting grammar on those little pamphlets they hand out on the strip, and making eyes at each other at an Elvis impersonator show.

Just your luck it's Vegas ... again. And in May, no less. Hopefully your very generous benefactor will get you lodging at the Paris and not at Bally's (I'm not holding my breath, mind you!).
My one question: how on earth are you going to find the time to go to the conference? You don't have enough time to do everything else in your life, never mind take trips to places you don't want to go.
Regardless, congratulations. Mum and Dad and I are very proud of you. Oh, and Toby too. :-)

Seriously, I would love to go and support you. The large, Redmond-based software company I work for would totally pay for the conference tix. Of course, I'd have to pay my way in every other conceivable way, but still...
