The most fabulous crustacean

Just discovered and all dolled up: this furry lobster-like creature.

And again I wonder why science journalists enjoy comparing newly found creatures to the size of tableware. This fabulous lil guy is the size of a salad plate.

In pushing a pro-life lobster agenda, I also offer an article by David Foster Wallace titled "Consider the Lobster" that appeared in Gourmet magazine (an article about the article & link to the PDF). Replete with his signature footnooting, DFW considers, with humor and armed with scientific facts, the underlying anxiety our cultural feels about killing lobsters. It's a darn good read.

argh. I really don't like lobster. Just the look of them makes me squeamish (they probably feel the same way about me). The photo you have of the furry creature makes me want to go and give the full PETA treatment to the local lobster sellers.
