No Poo - it isn't what you think.

Did you know there is a movement to not shampoo your hair - it's called "no poo" - who knew?

The face of no shampoo

I'm wondering how well this would work. Folks in the comments talk about missing the smell of freshly shampoo'd hair. That wouldn't apply in this house since all of our products are fragrance free.

I think the closest I came to this was spring break in college one year when we spent the week at my friend Kim's parents beach house in Florida. I rinsed, but didn't shampoo and by the end of the week I was starting to grow dreadlocks. But maybe starting this trend at the beach isn't the best idea.

Anyway, it's interesting to think about only washing your hair with a vinegar solution. I'm assuming that conditioner is out too. I wonder how long it would take for your hair to readjust to its natural oils.

Who wants to try and tell me how it goes?

I have been thinking about you lately! Hope all is well with you and the family.

I have tried the No Poo thing (you're not surprised right?) and I ended up just regular shampooing every other day. My hair gets greasy in a hurry and I just couldn't go to work like that. But I'd like to try again sometime - maybe on vacation! :)
